About the Founder
Brenda Briggs is a VA K-12 special education teacher with endorsements in Biology. She understand the importance and proven benefits of play and self-directed learning. Along with being a teacher she is the mom of 2 who loves to find ways to create and help her kids understand the wonder and joy of living and learning.
As a special educator, Ms. Briggs know the importance of self-directed play. This will be a place where kids can ask, "I wonder what happens if....." and find out for themselves. This is the place where they can create and get a little messy in the name of learning and fun. It is also a chance for families to see and participate in the wonder and excitement of our world! Ms. Briggs and her family live, work, & play in Reston, VA and they see the need for a local place for children to be able to explore, be creative, and learn through curiosity and play. She has seen her kids thrive when they have the opportunity to move and engage in spontaneous, self-directed play. They gain so many skills from being able to explore/experience with all of their senses. She hopes to bring this opportunity to all kids! Besides playing with her kids you can find her: behind the camera, cooking in the kitchen, curled up with a good book, or going for a run. Contact Ms. Briggs at: [email protected] |
